History

Organized in 2001, the Vintage Car Club of Minden provides an opportunity for club members to meet, socialize and maintain the spirit of good fellowship. We encourage the use of these special interest autos in activities which promote our city and parish.

The Vintage Car Club of Minden is a family-oriented, non-profit organization that participates in local parades several times each year and travels to other communities for parades and shows.

On a community service level, the Vintage Car Club of Minden awards scholarships to deserving high school seniors within the city of Minden. It has been our continued commitment to the community to sponsor a Dixie Youth Baseball Team for the past four years and a basketball team in the Minden City League. During Thanksgiving and Christmas we donate baskets to the needy.

The Vintage Car Club assisted evacuees sheltered in Webster Parish after Hurricane Katrina by providing meals at the Minden Recreation Center. The Club has also assisted their neighbors, the safety personnel at Explo Systems, after an explosion.

Meetings are held monthly. For more information, contact Larry Gipson at 318-377-0907 or vintageminden@gmail.com.
